Biography

Eileen de Neeve is an economist associated with the Institut Thomas More/Thomas More Institute for Adult Education in Montreal, a university-level liberal arts institution where she has designed and led reading-discussion courses on economic and social issues for many years, served for much of that period both on the Institute's Board of Directors, and the Board of the Thomas More Institute of Canada for Research in Adult Liberal Studies, and from 1998 to 2002 as the Montreal Institute's president. Educated at Concordia (M.A. Econ.) and McGill Universities (B.A. Econ. & Pol. Sc., Ph.D. Econ.), the author is a member of the Canadian Economics Association and worked for three years as research economist at the C.D. Howe Institute for Public Policy in Montreal. Her family includes four children, their partners, and six grandchildren.
